What does this website do?

Holiday Wizard is here to help make choosing, planning and booking your next holiday much easier.

We have incorporated many different services into our website, aiming to help at each stage of your holiday purchase. Please see the links on the Holiday Wizard homepage for access to our various services.

You can use our package holiday, ski holiday and charter flight booking services to access major tour operator deals.

Or if you are looking for something more specialised, you can order brochures online from dozens of tour operators, large & small, for delivery to your home, & some brochures are set up for online viewing with options for email delivery too.

How do I order brochures?

First take a good look around the brochure listings at the available brochures.

Want to order your own copy of a particular brochure? By each brochure is a post brochure button, like this:

Button_leftButton_right

Clicking on the button will add the brochure to your personal basket, and then show you your basket contents.

If you want to continue searching for brochures just click on 'continue browsing' and you will be returned to the page you started from. You are not restricted to ordering from a single page so take a good look around, your brochure choice will be remembered automatically until you are ready to finish.

Or if you have finished your brochure search just fill in the form with your name & address then click the 'I agree - please process my brochure order!' button.

You may also decide to complete your brochure order at any time by clicking on the larger basket icon on the top left of each page.

This service is fast, easy & free.

There is no charge to you for ordering brochures and you are under no obligation to buy a holiday or any other service from the holiday companies whose brochures you request.

What happens next?

Firstly your order will be reviewed by Holiday Wizard staff. This is to check the address you have supplied is complete & valid, to remove any possible duplicate orders, & to answer your questions or requests for extra help. If we have any questions about your order - perhaps address clarification or to check on larger orders, we will email you.

Then the details you supplied for brochure fulfillment will be passed directly on to each of the holiday companies whose brochures you have ordered.

If you have asked for extra help choosing brochures or have added extra details on the kind of holiday you have in mind we may add extra brochures to your order that we feel meet your needs. In this case these companies will also receive the details you have supplied.

Holiday Wizard holds no brochure stocks itself - all brochure fulfillment is handled by the holiday companies whose brochures are requested.

Can I preview brochures online?

Yes some brochures are set up for online preview - so you can see the brochure content online before you order. When you see this link, click the icon or the brochure cover to see the online preview.

What is an 'Email Brochure'?

Some brochures have an 'Email Brochure' facility - you will see a button like this.

Button_leftButton_right

Whenever you see this button, just click it to have key facts and details (such as tour schedules, booking forms etc) of the brochure and the holiday company emailed to you immediately as an 'Instant Brochure'. Because the information comes to you as an email it's easy to store & return to at a later date and it's a doddle to pass it onwards to your travelling partners too.

How many brochures can I order?

This service exists to help you find holidays & holiday ideas - & for holiday companies find new customers.

There is no fixed limit on the number of brochures you can order - we prefer to work on a 'common sense' basis. We find that in many cases a choice of 5 or so brochures

Please remember that printing & postage of holiday brochures is expensive, & that since this service is free to you the whole cost is borne by the holiday companies themselves.

Every brochure order is reviewed by us before being passed to the holiday companies. If we feel your order is large we will email you for confirmation. We understand that often a larger order makes good sense - you may for instance be planning more than one holiday, or booking for a large group.

We reserve the right to decline to pass any order on to the holiday companies - and holiday companies themselves are free to decline to fulfil any order for their own reasons. For more on this please see our terms & conditions

What's this: RSS feed and what is a 'feed'?

The logo is a link to our RSS feed page.

If your browser can read RSS feeds (most modern browsers do), just click the logo to see a list of the newest brochures on Holiday Wizard. There will be a link to 'subscribe', which means your browser will tell you when the page is updated (which is each time we add a new brochure to Holiday Wizard - once or twice a week usually).

So if you subscribe you will get a short, non-disruptive, notification each time a new brochure is available.

You don't need to give your email address, and you can stop the updates any time want with just a click.

A little more about 'feeds'

'Feeds' like this are becoming a very common ways for people to keep an eye on website changes without the hassle of emails. The technology behind them is called 'RSS' (which means 'Really Simple Syndication') but that's not important if all you want to do is read them.

If you use a feed reading program, just drag the RSS feed logo, or the URL it points to, to your program and the subscription will be set up for you. However if you have a feed reading program you probably already know what a feed is!

If you want to find out more, take a look at how the BBC News website, one of the world's busiest and most respected websites, explains and uses feeds.
