Short Cruise Breaks 08/09
Just sail away for a short break
The latest DFDS Short Cruise Break brochure features sail-away breaks to Holland, Germany and Denmark up to June 2009. With sailings from Newcastle and Harwich, favourite destinations such as Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Esbjerg can easily be reached.
- Loads to do onboard inc cinema, shopping, bars, restaurants, live music and entertainment too
- Kids are kept happy with video zone and play area including a ball pool
- All crossings offer a cabin – all have ensuite shower, WC, bed linen and towels
Mini Cruise Break to Amsterdam On this mini cruise you’ll spend the two nights onboard the boat, giving you a full day to explore Amsterdam. Setting sail in the evening from the UK, you arrive early morning and set sail again in the evening. Coach transfers to and from the city centre are included. Prices start from £67 per person based on four sharing a four-bed cabin.
Four Nights in Copenhagen offers you more time to explore with two nights spent onboard and two nights in a centrally located four star hotel. The prices included coach transfers to and from Copenhagen as well as free entrance to the famous Tivoli park. The 17 Dec 08 departure costs £251 per person.

Festive Cruise Breaks 2008

DFDS is getting prepared for the festive season with a special brochure offering Christmas markets, New Year breaks and festive river cruising to tempt you to sail away from the UK this winter.
- Your break starts when you board the boat – there’s an ‘a la carte’ restaurant, entertainment, bars, cinemas and shops
- Ideal for families as the kids have their very own play area
- All sailings are overnight, so you get a comfy air-conditioned cabin included
- Coach transfers to your final destination are included on cruise breaks
Bruges Christmas Market is a four-night cruise break to this famous market. Cobbled streets, canals and chocolate are all synonymous with Bruges. You’ll spend two nights on the ship and two nights in the centrally located Novotel hotel in Bruges. The trip sailing from Newcastle to Amsterdam costs from £179 per person for the 7 or 13 Dec 08 departures, based on two sharing.
Turkey and Tinsel River Cruise is a six night cruise along the Rhine. You’ll take the boat from Newcastle to Amsterdam, then travel by coach to join the cruise vessel in Maine or Cologne. There’s even a special gala dinner included. Departing on the 22 or 26 Nov 08, the cruise costs from £517 per person.
