day 1 day 2 day 3-4 (sat) arrive in Delhi and transfer to hotel. delhi orientation including India gate and Janpath bazaar. drive to Jaipur and visit Amber Fort, hawa Mahal (palace of the Winds), City Palace Museum and Jantar Mantar. drive to Agra via fatehpur sikri. visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise and agra fort. overnight train to varanasi. explore Varanasi's old town area and enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the ganges river. visit sarnath. drive to Lumbini in nepal. Visit Lord buddha's birthplace. drive across nepal's terai region to royal Chitwan national Park. explore on foot, in canoe, by jeep and on elephant back. final safari in Chitwan before heading to Kathmandu. visit Bodhnath stupa and pashupatinath temple. option of scenic flight for views of Mount everest. spectacular flight along the himalayan range to Paro, bhutan. drive to the capital, thimphu. explore Thimphu including the fortress and painting school. drive to paro, visit the Tiger's nest Monastery and explore the local villages and countryside. trip ends in paro this morning (Wed). day 5-6 day 7-8

An extraordinary adventure with a unique blend of history, culture, wildlife and stunning mountain scenery
This epic journey takes us from the plains of India to the mountain kingdoms of Nepal and Bhutan, experiencing great contrasts along the way. In India we discover the sights of Delhi before exploring the bustling streets of Jaipur. Our next stop is the magnificent Taj Mahal before we continue on to Varanasi by overnight train. Here we take a boat ride on the Ganges River and see Hindu pilgrims praying and performing their ablutions. We then drive to Nepal, where we visit the birthplace of Lord Buddha, before heading into the wildlife haven of Royal Chitwan National Park. Next stop is the former hippy paradise and Nepalese capital, Kathmandu. A breathtaking flight brings us to the Dragon Kingdom Bhutan. Here we explore the delightful capital of Thimphu, visit the famous Tiger's Nest Monastery and take in the splendour of the alpine countryside.
