ITINERARY - DAY 1 Depart London Heathrow Airport on scheduled Iberia flight to Madrid for connecting flight to Lima. Late evening arrival and transfer to the Hotel San Agustin Exclusive for two-nights. DAY 2 Depart for a half day city tour of Lima. Afternoon free for optional excursions available locally. (B) DAY 3 Depart hotel for the airport and flight to Cuzco. Transfer to the Hotel Jose Antonio Cuzco for three nights. Afternoon city tour to the exact centre of the Inca empire - the Plaza de Armas, with the ruins of the Inca Palace and old town and visit to Sacsay Huaman. (B) DAY 4 Journey by coach and train through the changing landscape to the amazing site of Machu Picchu. (B) DAY 5 Free to explore or take a full day optional excursion including lunch to visit the colourful Pisac Indio Market and the ruins of Ollantaytambo. (B) DAY 6 A scenic day transferring through the Peruvian highlands passing snow-covered peaks and visiting the towns of Andahuaylillas and Pucara with many Inca ruins en route. Descend into Puno to the Hotel Posada del Inca. (B,L) DAY 7 An early departure to visit the Uros Indians, famous for living on their floating islands before transferring to Copacabana. A Catamaran takes us across stunning crystal blue Lake Titicaca to the Island of the Sun and transfer to La Paz the highest capital city on earth, and the Hotel Plaza for a two-night stay. (B,L) DAY 8 Morning city tour of La Paz. Visit Moon Valley with its interesting moonlike landscape. (B) DAY 9 Flight from La Paz to Buenos Aires and transfer to the Hotel El Conquistador for two nights. Free time.
