Departing Perth we head south along the dramatic coast road towards Pemberton, visiting the Koombana Bay Dolphin Discovery Centre where you could be in for a close encounter with the Dolphins. Sweeping views of Geographe Bay and a tour of Ngilgi Cave make for a busy morning, and you can top off the day with a glass of wine or surfing at Margaret River, an area renowned for both, before heading on to your first night at Pemberton Forest Stay Cottages. Heading further south through Karri Forest, we'll test your courage with an awesome 60 metre climb to the top of the Bicentennial Tree, the highest tree top lookout in the world. Carrying on with our leafy theme we head to the Valley of the Giants and experience walking through an ancient forest canopy 40 meters above the ground. With the sun high in the sky we head east, taking a short break in Denmark, before heading to Albany for the night. After enjoying spectacular views from the top of Mt Clarence, the forests and mountains turn to sun drenched beaches on the third day as we leave Albany behind and head east to the stunning coastal town of Esperance. We have a day to explore Esperance and the pristine Cape Le Grand National Park, where kangaroos, dolphins or even whales (in season) could be out to greet us. We check out some of the south's natural coastal phenomena including, The Blow Holes, The Natural Bridge and the awe inspiring The Gap. On the last leg from Esperance to Perth, Wave Rock and Hippos Yarn will leave you with one final memory of the countless natural wonders that make up Australia's stunning South West.
